Moutrie Polled Beefmaster Operation

Moultrie Meadows’ registered Beefmaster Cattle operation is dedicated to raising and perfecting solid red polled Beefmaster cattle. This single goal is the driving force behind the careful selection of the sires and dames and the continued development and expansion of the Moultrie’s’ “polled” Beefmaster herd.

The development of the herd began in April 2001 when the first six sires and dams arrived at Moultrie Meadows. Since then, Robert Moultrie has added only the best of the best in donor and breeding stock that offer the six essentials of the Beefmaster name and have the genetic make up to perpetuate a polled Beefmaster breed.

With the help of breeding consultant Bruce Robbins, the Moultrie Meadows Beefmaster operation is constantly “breeding up”. Using its state-of-the-art genetics lab, Moultrie Meadows breeds its own outstanding donor cows with some of the most superior Beefmaster bulls in the country. Soul Man, Xcite, Black Synergy, Infinity, Black Cavalier, Painted Tiger, and Caesar have sired many of the donor cattle that continue to be bred at Moultrie Meadows. The breeding program is striving to perfect the polled Beefmaster strain and has begun testing select new bulls in the gene pool such as Soul Master, General Ebony and Motown.
